Gaisberg summit

Medium walking tours up to the Gaisberg

The starting point is the top station of the Gaisberg chairlift. From here we keep left and follow the path uphill to the Bärstattalm. A difficult but popular route takes you up to a viewpoint and then over the high path to the Bärstattalm. Behind the mountain hut you will find a mountain path which will take you up to the Gaiberg summit. After traversing the Gaisberg ridge follow a short steep path down over the Nagiller track. After this challange you reach the Harlassanger chapel (Maria Heimsuchung). On a relatively even path you walk back to the Bärstattalm and then on to the Gaisberg chairlift. From here you can either take the lift or walk back down into the valley via the Kirchanger chapel. It is also possible to descend via route Nr. 5a.

Alternatives:
From the Kobingerhütte you can take either route Nr. 7a to Rettenbach or route Nr 7 to the bottom of the KiWest cable car. From Bärstattalm you can take route Nr 6. via Seiselboden into Spertental.
