Tobogganing for big and small - here you will find details on some of the best toboggan runs in the region.

Toboggan fun for the whole family: the spectacular toboggan run on the Gaisberg has developed to a real crowed puller. This is the only run in the area that is certified as a natural toboggan run. The four man chairlift brings you comfortably directly to the start of the 5km run, this way you should be able to get enough trainig runs before testing your skills on floodlit run at night.

Opening hours: daily from 9.00 a.m. - 16.00 p.m.
Evening operation: Di. - Sa., from 6.30 p.m. until 9.30 p.m.
Floodlight until 11.00 p.m.

The 7,5km long toboggan run starts at the summit of the Talkaser and takes you into the scenic Windau Valley. You reach the start of the toboggan run with the Alpenrose cable car. Once you have reached the top of the tobboggan run starts. The ski and toboggan run takes you past the Fleidingalm and then on, via rapid corners, to the Schrandlhof. From here you can regularly cath a taxi back into the village.

A Tipp for all toboggan friends is the Brixenbach track in Brixen im Thale. A wonderful and daily prepared winter walking path takes you directly to the quaint "Brixenbachalm" where you can enjoy some refreshments before heading down the 3.5km toboggan track. Toboggans can be hired for a small sum from the innkeeper at the Brixenbachalm. For those who do not want to walk to the hut, but still want to have a trip on the toboggan ru, there is a possibility to take the tractor ride for a small charge. You need to register yourself with the inkeeper in advance as there is limited spac in the hut.
